Sweet Dreams written and first recorded by Don Gibson in 1956, but Patsy Cline had the big hit with the song in 1963 just before she died in that plane crash. Or do you mean the 1982 song by The Eurhythmics, Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This, written by Annie Lennox & Dave Stewart of the Eurhythmics.

Sweet Dreams (of You) was first a hit by Faron Young in 1956. His version was an up-tempo number. The song's author, Don Gibson, had a hit with the song two years later, a more bluesy version. When people think of the song, however, they usually think of Patsy Cline's powerful, pain-filled ballad rendition.
