I'm a girl and I got into plenty fights as a teen but I always made sure that I had a reason for it. In a case like this I would try talking to the person when I ran into them and make clear that the rumor was untrue say you respect your friend and aren't interested in her so you don't have a reason to fight him, you have no control over rumors and **** people make up Tell him "if that was bugging you then this should clear it all up Right?" be assertive but also know that a bully is nothing but a person that's constantly in fear, constantly feels threaten so they lash out at people (no one attacks no one unless they feel threaten at some level) try to avoid the fight because a bully is a wimp ,an idiot looser who hate loosing in public try talking but think you might have to fight too if he skips the talking part,.. if he gets too stupid call the cops. I also avoid friends who hang out (even worst fall in love)with very stupid people like the bully or the gangster, the cholo, the drug dealer and **** like that because that says a lot about your friends way of thinking as well and no one needs friends that would bring you this kind of trouble because of the poor personal choices they're making and u can't tell them that because in a night of passion they might tell on you and..... who needs it. Good luck have no fear but be wise

For sure if he is a fighter and he got kicked out for fighting then expect him to seek you out. The best thing you can do is show him that you are not afraid sometimes a bully see an opponent and try to intimidate him first if they get intimidated then they fight them. If you manage to show him you are not afraid he might try to provoke you in some way don't do anything that my provoke him to attack first. Do not fight him or pay attention to him he might call you names but he might not touch cause he might be confused on whether you are scared or not. Do not fight him unless it is strictly necessary if he puts a hand on you then it's time to throw down. Cover yourself well and attack when he is tired or distracted. If you feel he is too much for you to handle and he is literally trying to take your head off be sure to defend yourself by grabbing something around you to help you fend him off. It also dosent hurt you to carry a little something with you cause you might never know if you might need an extra little help. If you are loosing and he shows you no mercy You can use something like pepper spray or brass knuckles and fend him off and then run away dont abuse the situation cause you can get in trouble if you hurt him severly and he decides to press charges. If you want to avoid an ambush or a straight up fight then never wonder alone where he is more likely to hang out. Hang with your friends and tell them whats up so they dont get caught by surprise. Always be in a crowd with people you know and trust and that punk wont even confront you. Don't be afraid or don't show him you are afraid cause if you do then he already won, but dont provoke him either just play it non chalantly that you are unaware of him and if he touches you then fight or fend him off anyway you can. Good Luck

If he is a bully then he is also a coward. Ask him what he is afraid of. He will then almost certainly say he is afraid of nothing at which point you tell him all bullies are afraid deep down, that is why they act the way they do. Tell him you are afraid as well but unlike him you are no coward. Tell him that you don't want to fight but if you have to you will and he will get hurt in the process. He may well back down at this point.

In case he does not back down then mentally prepare yourself for a beating. This is not as bad as it sounds. Once you accept the fact that you may get a beating and once you force yourself to not be bothered by that fact then you will gain an air of confidence that will terrify the average bully.

You have to realise that it does not matter who wins and who loses. If you conduct yourself with courage and honour, you become the real winner and the bully will never bother you again. He will probably back down.

Try not to fight. That's the mature thing to do. If you absolutly must defend yoru self then so be it. Don't be drunk or intoxicated you will have the advantage of common sense and refexes if neccessary. If he confronts you try use maturity and make him look like the jerk he is. If he is drunk walk away if you can. If not use a hip throw. It will put him on the ground quickly and hopefully difuse the situation and you will have the advantage of having him on the ground in a vulnerable spot with you on top. Good luck

Get a camera. You need some kind of evidence. Then take it to the police. Maybe he doesn't realize that he lives in the united states where it is illegal to beat other people up. The system will **** him up more than you ever could. Even better man take a knife get the camera when he starts beating you up throw the camera on the ground make sure it isnt filming you bust out your knife and kill his *** then you can claim self defense...

I was being bullied in school last time, by a small dweeb who's got mob connections. One day I kicked his butt along with 3 other peoples. I took them all. But my only regret now would be, I didn't kick his butt enough because he harassed me and I was being patient for a v long time.
A lot would detest to my suggestion, but I'd say, plan, train and take him on! Else you'd regret not doing so for the rest of your life. I know I did. Have a smug smile and something to tell others for the rest of your life, kick his butt!

I would just ignore him and not fight him. When he confronts you, just tell him the truth that you do not like his girlfriend that way. She is just a friend. Bullys tend to not listen to reason though so be prepared with a few moves. :) At least you tried to reason with him and you would not get in trouble for self defense.
