Kim Clijsters was more consistent. She's faster and hits with more power than Svetlana Kuznetsova. It's just unfortunate that injuries hampered her short career.

Clijsters was great at defense and at offense
great net game which has helped her won so many slams in doubles
she had a superbe forehand and a great backhand
she played well on ALL surfaces unlike Kuznetsova
and has made the finals of 3 out of 4 slams unlike Kuznetsova
she's was world #1 in both singles and doubles at the same time, once.
She's won 38 titles to just a few for Kuznetsova
she was mentally tougher than Kuznetsova but has was plagued with injuries
Clijsters>Kuznetsova any day;anytime!

kim clijsters is better then Kuznetosova.. kim just had a better game, better skills, and i still think its shame that clijsters retired from the sport.... one slam did not do her any justice.. she had more potential to win more... she had some problems with her nerves on the big stage..

i also believe that earlier in clijsters career, 2002- 2003 her playing so much doubles and singles,,, too many hardcourt tournaments.. it wore her body down.. clijsters was a player who paid the price from playing too much.. if she would have played less, i bet she would not have suffered as many injuries... and maybe would have won more slams! i think kim clijsters was close to justine henins calibre.. just lacked the will, and perhaps good fortune?

First of all, her name is Svetlana Kuznetsova, not Kuznetkova. Second of all, what is your question? Who is better? Based on their head-to-head record, in which Kim Clijsters leads 6-1, there is no question that Clijsters is the better player. Also, Clijsters has been #1 in her career, and Kuznetsova so far has not. There are some striking similarities though when you compare the two, namely that they each have one grand slam title to their names, the U.S. Open, and that they both have Justine Henin as their career nemesis. Also, despite both being incredibly quick and able to go from playing unbeilevable defense to offense with one shot, they both seem to lack that killer instinct. But as far as overall career achievements, Clijsters is ahead of Kuznetsova.

Both Clisjter and Kutznetkova are great tennis players that have helped to change tennis in the world. Even though Kim has retired, she would b remembered as tennis icon. People liked her game and attitude in and outside the court. Kutznetkova has also won the admiration of many fans. She is a good player. Her attitude in and outside the court is commendable. However, I like Kutnetkova because she is still active in the tennis tournament.

While both players were active, Clijsters led there head to head 6-1. However on clay, they were 1-1, and both matches were close. In this case, I would think that Clijsters would prevail on hardcourt or grass, but on clay I think it would be whoever was best on the day.

I think Kuznetsova, growing up on the spanish clay, is one of the best claycourters out there, and I think one day she will win the French Open. Clijsters career was cut short, and her two grand slam wins don't do justice to the great player she was.

Kim all the way and she is more athletic than Kuznetsova.
Kim was an all around player, but her injuries kept her out for
quite a while and retired so early.

clijsters would beat kuznetsova because she attacks the ball more and ahs good confidence. but kuznetsova has some really nice ground strokes. and at the moment clijsters leads the head to head 6 to 1
