Because one is a natural born killer, and shouldn't be kept in a cage. If you had an eagle, or a vulture or a falcon in a cage, I bet you'd get a different result.

The caged bird knows it's only chance at freedom is by driving you crazy whereas the tiger instinctively stalks it's prey and pounces at the best available moment to suit it's purpose.

Nature of the beast...I'm almost positive that you don't want to see that caged bird be the incentive for a CSI episode...and that tiger the new 'kitty' for 9 Lives cat food....
