I already have two boys. I had a daughter, but she passed away, so i really want a girl.

thanks for all you answers. I so want a girl, but if I had a boy I would love it just the same. I have two boys now and I wouldn't trade for any girl.

Hi, really would love you to experience the joy of a daughter. Just a quick note to jb82274 I think he's got the X & Y round the wrong way. It's the y sperm that swim fast & die quick (boy) while the x sperm are slow but tough (girl) ;)
So try to have sex a few days before the stretchy egg white appears then you should have top chances of having your girl. Otherwise get one of those maybe baby testers- you put a dab of saliva on & they predict where you are in your cycle & tell you when the optimum time is to make love to increase chances of specific gender. I just know this will happen for you- be patient- I was & it happened for me!!!

DON'T im not trying 2 b mean but just bcuz' ur daughter passed away doesn't mean u have to have another girl! She's not going 2 b the same baby u had b4 everyones different my suggestion think about having another baby bcuz after u have this girl and raise her u'll prob. still want that 1 little girl back trust me i thought i was going 2 b like that but i wasn't i was even scared of being pregnant again. At least I was glad I had a baby and sum1 2 love both ways

try not to have sex ON the day you ovulate but one or two days before you ovulate. (so the boy sperm are already dead when the egg is released) Eat lots of dairy, thats all I can remember.
Try reading the book "How to choose the sex of your baby" its very comprehensive about it.

EDIT: I liked the comment from someone about adopting a little girl that needs parents. You would definately get exactly what you wanted then and that little girl the biggest joy of her life as well as your own

I am with you. I have two boys and have been trying for a girl for 10 months now. I did all my research on the net. Google is a great one for all the different ways they recommend. Having sex at certain times before ovulation is the biggest. Men are to have hot balls for a girl (boxer shorts and hot spas) and kept cool for a boy. There are lots of different things to try including diet and position. Good Luck.

Good luck with that. I understand your reason but,there's NO way to plan whether you'll have a girl or a boy. You'll never replace your daughter even if you were to have another girl, so if you do get pregnant pray that your child is healthy instead no matter the gender. All children are a gift.

My friend had 12 boys and never made a girl.
My other friend has 5 boys and no girls, so she gave up.
My boyfriend is 1 of 5 boys and his mother gave up trying for a girl.
Dont have babies just because you are trying for a girl. Love the kids you have and make sure you are on financial stable ground before you start trying again.
I raised a little girl and its not all what you think it is. I would take 10 boys over my hell raising daughter any day.

Its all about timing, I have nine kids and of those nine I have girls down to a science... I have had five in a row. The Y chrom. (the boy) swim fast but die fast. The X chrom. (female) swim slow but last longer. So the trick is to moniter your ovulation cycle. For my wife she ovulates roughly the 5th day of the month, her cycle (period) beginning on the 14th day. Knowing this we have intercourse on the 2 or 3rd day so that by the time the egg reaches its destination all the Y chroms are dead and all that is left is the X. This leaves only the girls to populate. I hope this helps

Good Luck with that... I also want a gurl because mind just passed Nov 1st after only 4 hours of living... But I will take whatever God gives me when I start trying... As much as I do want a girl! Just as long as it's healthy... Tell your man to take a hottttttt bath right before... You never know! : ) Good Luck!

if you really really only want a girl then i wouldnt try at all, theres no guarantee and only 50/50 odds.
if it was a boy how do you know your desire for a girl wouldnt cause problems with bonding etc, if you cant guarantee that you would love this baby regardless of its sex then you shouldnt try at all.
i have 2 boys and ok, a girl would be nice, but i know whichever i have they will be loved and wanted.

of course with a parachute
or you could adopt a girl that very much needs parents.
