it will not end ,if you would have read carefully or searched the Internet better you would have find a very interesting fact.the Mayans believed that time is cyclic meaning that it goes in circles just like seasons,and the year 2012 is the beginning of a new time cycle,sadly yes from what i have read something will happen but not mass destruction and whipping out of the human kind,plus form where i have read there will b some benefice side effects,

That is think its a high possibility, but hey look at the changes around the world these days. Arctic ice melting, bigger hurricanes, and temperature is rising. Anyways here is a way that we all can die!! (not the earth) The frozen methane we have on the ocean bottom is enough to wipe out all species in earth, slightest change in temperature can release this methane gas to the atmosphere causing the next mass extinction, and global warming is the trigger for this. Apparantly one of my ancestors who made some calendar predicted the world ending in 1996. Didnt happen, so I dont think youve got anything to worry about. Besides, space agencies around the world have weapons ready to intercept any asteroids that come anywhere near us, so unless we all get wiped out by some massive disease, I think were gonna live for a long time after everyone alive now dies of old age, in which case its only humanity thats dying, not Earth itself.

nobody really knows if the world is gonna end on 2012. It is just a theory made up by scientists probably because of the changes going on around us or maybe about global warming.
some religious people say judgement day is coming soon. No one can really tell.
