I was wondering what effect does Wi-fi have on earth itself, with all those energy/microwave in the air. sure there are researches trying to find out how it effect human, but what about this planet we are living in? will wi-fi be the next fossil fuel engine, convenient to human, but ultimately destructive to earth?

The current standard in wireless transmission is a 12.5-centimeter wavelength, which is officially classified as radio, not microwave (though the division is arbitrary, since the electromagnetic spectrum is continuous).

There is no evidence that such radiation has a harmful effect on humans, much less the Earth itself.
