What do you think of this offensive piece of trash? My opinion is obvious.

This was the hottest video on YouTube as of yesterday. It is an interview of a young man who is disabled and is made fun of thru the not so clever interview techniques of a character called HOOMAN.

The interview could easily have been done in a way that respected him - or edited the parts out that made him look foolish. The question about the implants was really necessary?

Yea, it probably did make his day, but at what cost?

I watched the video, and didn't find anything funny. I thought that the young man who was being interviewed did a great job giving answers. I then read the comments, and it became apparent to me that Peter was being mocked for his speech patterns and his mannerisms. Many of the decent commentors thought that Peter was probably High Functioning Autistic, and Hooman was doing his best to make the young man Peter look stupid. I was seriously offended. I flagged the video as inappropriate, then went to BanHooman's channel and saw other instances of Hooman making fun of people with disabilities; so I flagged Hooman himself as inappropriate. My complaint was that he was encouraging the mockery, hatred, and bullying of disabled people.

Well I kind of went through it like more than 2 time, looking at every angle.

I say that the interviewer was wasting someone's time. He was innocently thought it be amusing to hear someone with the speech impediment problems to speak the whole time.

Come to think of it, I was wondering how big is the interviewer's mouth if I shoved his microphone in it. Considering the fact that he have moving the microphone around the person's mouth like forcing it but just to get the entire sound from him.

Update: Yea! I got one thumb up for my comment!

It is not clever to make fun of anyone who is not in a position to defend themselves. In this case it encourages such things as a good lark, good sport and fair game. It is wrong, the kid might not have suffered direct harm in the interview, but what if its later pointed out to him, what if other people he encounters in his life see the video and consider he is fair sport for their own ideas for humor and jokes at his expense. I don't mind some jokes, like the comedian who kids around about his false foot, because he is in on it, he is making light of his disability, he is not being taken or represented as a fool.

But nothing can change peoples attitudes in these things, people will think its ok because they don't have the empathy to imagine themselves or their loved ones in a similar situation. Or they evaluate it from their judgment that the interview in itself seemed not to cause him any visible harm. But perhaps he knew he was being ill treated and tried to prove his abilities through his knowledge of comics and the like, yet still people laugh at him.

I did not laugh and reading some of the viewers comments just leaves me disappointed. I think generally there is a growing absence of empathy in the world and in my view that is a very bad thing.

I think it made the interviewer look like a total jack-***. I also took a look at some of his other 'interviews' and he treats everyone the same way. I don't think Peter realized what was going on and probably enjoyed it.

I noticed some comments from viewers about getting him taken off You Tube. His days are probably numbered.

I volunteer visit homes where people who are intellectually challenged live. We are taught what to look for and one of the strong points is that these people have the same rights as anyone and if he is interviewed in an incorrect manner so be it but the interviewer has to face himself one of these days and so be it ~~

He's not making fun of him at all. He's talking to him as he would to any other person and I bet the guy loved it.
