Some people consider eating pig's heart as contributing to a more healthy human heart. Is this scientifically proven? What are your views?

That is ridiculous. The heart is just a muscle. It has the same nutritional value as any other pig muscle, such as leg. Once eaten and digested, it becomes the same as any other protein. A balanced diet and exercise will be good for your heart, whether you eat pig's heart or not.

As mentioned by the previous replies,
heart is similar to other muscle,
tho the fat and cholesterol content could vary?

But eating the corresponding organ in an animal such as a pig so a fella will think it will improve his own heart is a bunch of BS!
They think the same about heart, brain and penis.

At least he is choosing a pig which are common.
Just hope the jerk does not decide to kill some endangered animal to eats its heart thinking it will be even better.

The bear gall thing ticks me off as well.

Since pigs' hearts are made of muscle cells, I think eating them is similar to eating a normal piece of meat ( but of course more delicious!!). If you are not afraid of the enormous amount of calories in them, feel free to eat.

nothing of the sort has been proven, heart is just a muscular organ, so it cant make any difference to a human's heart.
