As well as encouraging people to carry on stealing/mugging/ the chances are i-phones have the same technology that allow service providers to block the handset from the network, in which case you would have spent £100 on an expensive door stop at least you could take it back to the guy you bought it off i'm sure he'd offer to replace it for you.

If u ever purchase a telephone o and individuals answer the question as though u knew it grow to be stolen once you acquire it. no person dumb sufficient to purchase a stolen telephones. Ppl that sell stolen products for drugs no longer gonna say its stolen. Addicts r truthfully sensible their con artist. So i do no longer blame u call provider supply imei tell them u offered it, it artwork then provide up shopper provider, reason u don't be attentive to if telephone in simple terms broke. i ponder whether those people who stated next do no longer purchase a stolen telephone quite don't be attentive to the worldwide we are residing in

It was probably "BRICKED" by the provider anyway and so you'd been buying a useless piece of plastic..
those on display at phone shops are not the full pukka version and are using a local wirelss network to operate, once they've been taken out of the demonstration environment they stop working.. They are not complete phones but emmulators..

Yes. Remember the people who own these companies would step over their own burning grandmother to get an extra buck. FUDGE THE SYSTEM!
Also, have you seen that thing? It's AWESOME! I wouldn't use even half the functions on it, but I want one so bad just so I can check out the skateboarding dog on my touchscreen iphone, or look at stock market behaviours that I don't understand on my touchscreen iphone!
Seriously, no. Too hot and Lord knows they've probably got the serial number locked, tracked to within a few metres or something equally implausible ;)

No, if the police found out about it (like the seller ratted on you) then you would be in trouble for "posession of stolen goods."

As the law stands, if you knew it was stolen then you should report it. Failure to do so could land you in trouble, especially so if you bought it.

What you should have done is say yes and need to get the money. Reported it to the police and then one more scum bag will be off the streets.
Happy New Year.
