Why is White Pride racist when black pride/hispanic pride/asian pride isn't?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not racist or a member of a racist organization, nor do I advocate discrimination or violence against any person of any race. But I do think it's pretty damned ridiculous that we (in the USA) have black history month, affirmative action (if you're a minority, you're more likely to be able to get into a good college. seriously.), african-american college funds, hate crime laws (if you're a white person and you assault a black person, that's considered to be a worse crime), etc. But if you advocacate any of that for white people, you are branded a racist. Guess what? all of that stuff I mentioned above? that's racist. What? there's no such thing as racism against white people? interesting.

I'm not racist. I'm mixed race, and I'm advocate for equality. For your information, equality means "justice for all". Not "Justice for everyone...except whites, because they were unfair to non whites in history and should have their share at suffering".

The point of bringing up anything that I did was to bring to attention, FACTUAL information about history, that might just change the whole concept of whites being a power tripping controlling land stealing race. To bring to the table that we've suffered injustices, along with our ancestors, and people of all races have professed and practiced injustices against OTHER people too, including whites. So the prime focus on whites is a bother to me, YES. Why? Because it gets damn old hearing about this **** every single day.

For the record, my boyfriend doesn't give a **** about what his people may have went through in America. Like any wise person he realizes the past is the past and we weren't born asking to be born a certain color, and to be judged a specific way. But like many minorities who support affirmative action, it's not BECAUSE of history, it's because it benefits them. And yes, he'll support it if it makes life easier on him. but I grew up in poverty, so don't' you dare tell me affirmative action was created BECAUSE of people like me. What? Poor white people? Lmao, girl you've got me laughing now.

Whites of today are not responsible for early American colonialism, early American slavery, -so on, so forth-. The point was that it's idiotic to hate whites based on something the whites of today are not responsible for. All races, and all groups of people have had their downside. They've all made their contributions and have had their accomplishments. They've all been victims and they've all been victimizers. So what the hell is the point in trying to separate us in this country by making whites out to be the enemy, and non whites the victims? Think what you want to. Facts are what matter to me. I don't pity people for things I'm not responsible for, and I don't expect pity back. I'm focused on today. I don't sit there and loathe people for what happened to my people in the past. It sure as hell didn't happen to me, and not by people living today.

I'm European American, proud of my heritage, not my race, nor am I ashamed. I can't help that I was born white, so why should people hate me, as a white person, for something I cannot help? Sorry, that seems extremely unfair, and hateful, and just flat out wrong. And I'll speak against it if I want to because I know in this case, I AM right.

Listen, I served in the USMC for 5 years, 4 of those in combat 1 in the hospital. Went to school on my GI bill, got a job, raised a family, lost said family to a car accident. Fell on hard times, needed government assistance, was refused, re-applied 4 times, finally got help. I pay my taxes, vote, volunteer, go to church, and am charitable.

Am I White, Black, Hispanic, or Asian?

The right answer is... WHO GIVES A DAMN! Peel away the skin and we are ALL the same. I am American, no other title needs to be added to that. Is slavery an atrocity? Of course it is.. FFS people how about some American pride. Is America perfect? Far from it, but what is the alternative?

NOW before some dillweed decides I'm bashing their country, NO I AM NOT, I am an American, speaking on American issues. Norway is fantastic, BUT it is not part of this conversation.

America is what we have made it people. She evolves and changes to suit us all. It is far from perfect, but as Americans we allow too much of this garbage to happen. Every year voter turn out drops off.. 2008 voter turn out was 63%, 2012 57%. The highest voter turn out in American history was in 1876 it was 81%. ?!?!??! In 1876 less then half of Americans could read or write, WTF are we doing people?????

So when can we stop with all the racial crap, and start being Americans?

It is like asking a poor person out to dinner then asking to split the bill, or or playing poker with a mentally disabled person. You simply do not do it. I would actually exclude "Asian pride" out of this because I have never seen some Korean complain about discrimination. They are too busy studying or making money.

Your question makes me think about some dirty developing country where they protest at the American embassy. I would feel sick if Americans protested at some embassy in Washington, DC. We are better than that. If you are of European ancestry you should have the intelligence and confidence to stand tall and let others have their time to complain. You are better than that. Those from sophisticated cultures from China, Thailand, Korea, Japan, India,... should feel the same way. We should all be secure in our own capabilities and help those who are not so fortunate.

Everyone needs to be proud of who and what they are. I think that "minorities" at one time needed labels other than derogatory ones and therefore developed the "pride philosophies".
White Pride has a connotation of racism, whether deserved or not. I think that those who developed the phrase were, in fact, racists who were looking for yet another way to recruit unthinking idiots into their diminishing ranks.
As for affirmative action, right or wrong, it was a way of establishing parity between minorities and whites in the job market and for educational opportunities. It was not an indictment of whites in general.
And yes, there can be (and often is) racism directed toward whites in our society; however, whites are still in the majority and therefore may not truly be discriminated against.

Politics and guilt.

There are a lot of votes behind the racist card and so white people in power seek to win these by passing legislation that leans in favor of minorities, while stamping hard on established cultural and national identity.

They have an army of pant-wetting hand-wringers behind them, whining at the inhumanity of their forefathers from generations ago. White people dont need a champion for their rights, and frankly dont deserve any support because they are descended from murdering baby eaters. How DARE THEY drag people from such bastions of freedom and wealth as Africa, Asia and south America, into the oppressive evil poverty that is the USA and Europe.

One day we'll all be 'equal' in their eyes, but until such a time you are going to be repeatedly shafted by your own countrymen who you elected to defend YOUR rights, so that they can win hearts in a multicultural utopia they are crafting for us. I don't remember voting for it though. Do you?

The statistics concerning the study of race show that there are in fact differences between the races and this is due to the evolution in different climates. Good or bad these are significant differences and we cannot ignore them if we are talk about this subject intelligently.

ITS CRAZY. we have every kinda pride in the country but only white pride is racist? WTF? think about this.. if you are muslim, you marry a muslim, if you are jewish, you are expected to marry the same, catholic is the same way, and the oriental culture will turn their backs on their own if they marry outside of their culture... let a white parent tell their kid to marry a white person.... RACIST!!!! why is it we can have black entertainment television, black men magazine, ms black america beauty contest, or clubs and programs that give scholarships to only certain races, like the mcknight foundation from ucf that gives scholarships to only black students..? try to start a ms white america contest, or a white entertainment channel, and don't tell somebody that you'll only help white students into college.... is that not total racism...? in the 80's and 90's the rule was "classifying somebody by the color of their skin is racism" hmmm... go fill out a government form like a background check... the only race classified by skin color is white..... originally their were 7 root races in this world, one of them was "aryan" it was concidered the people or now russia thru europe and into the northern middle east....so yes some middle easterns were considered aryan... but our classification, our true name has been stripped from us and considered a racist term... just because some people use the name, much like the odin cross or ancient symbols in the racist groups doesn't mean its is always racist... hitler was christian, but raised jewish, that mean all christioans and jews are racist? terrorist are mostly muslims, that mean all muslims are terrorists? the hate group "black panthers are all black" are all blacks part of the black panthers? the country was up in arms about trayvon martin, saying just because he was black and wearing a hoodie didn't mean he was a criminal... that mean because a man is white, shaves his head and says hes proud of his race, hes a racist? as far as going through some sort of genocide or slavery... the moors(muslim africans) invaded Sicily, raped the women and killed the men trying to "breed out the Sicilians" they also tried the same with the "barbarians" but were defeated and run back to their country, the barbarians later became known as "germans".. look up Afrikaner genocide or museum... its white genocide going on today in africa, whites being killed because of race, and look up "white cleansing in haiti"... the haitians killed all the white people in haiti... so we have been through it also...

Just to throw it out their white isnt a race...neither is black asian or hispanic instead of lumping ourselves into 4 categories have some pride in your ethnicity.
