i need to unclog my toilet and people said that i neededa plunger. and really what in the world is a plunger?

Wow, that is sad that you don't know what that is.
Its like a rubber sucksion cup on a stick that sucks whatever is cloged and you flush the toilet after you get the clog out

A "plumbers helper" go to Ace hardware and ask for one. Second question: place it in the toilet and push it down, then pull it up hard, several times, this should unplug the toilet.

ROFL!!!! Its a weird often pink rubber thing that you use to unclog the toilet. Wikipedia it
