Names that mean something in a foreign language can be funny.

The last name of former professional baseball player Chuck Knoblauch means "garlic" in German. Chuck is a word for throw in English. So, yeah, Throw Garlic.

There's a dentist who advertises on TV in San Diego named Dr. Feffer. Pfeffer, pronounced the same way, means "pepper" in German, so you get Dr. Pepper.

I went to school with a girl named Linda Pigpen and another named June Flowers. I know someone now named Rana Muck, I asked her mother if she had connected that name to run a muck (the name kids had called her when she was younger) Her mom laughed and said, no, she didn't think of that then. Then once I was dating a guy named Buford,(Bud for short) and his last name was Rose.So of course people called him "Rose Bud" What were these mothers thinking!?

I can give you the names of a couple of retired NASCAR drivers: Dick Trickle and Lake Speed. The first is just a strange and funny name. The other fits his profession.
