Hard to say. To make it interesting, let's consider only starters. Contenders for worst starter on the Bears include:
Alex Brown, DE
Hunter Hillenmeyer, OLB
Adrian Peterson, RB
Kyle Orton, QB
Honestly, I don't know too much about the Bears' offensive linemen (besides the fact that the unit as a whole is mediocre at best). The worst starting Bear could very well be on the offensive line. I know that Terrence Metcalf, LG, tends to get a lot of false starts; maybe he's the worst.

Wow...this is a tough one.
If you would count the whole offensive line as one then that is the route that I would go. With the exception of Olin Kruetz, who is having a down year, the rest of the line is pourous at best. Not only are they accruing penalties for false starts but the pass protection has been declining since last year. I don't blame Grossman's production totally on them, but they did play some part in it as well as Benson's dismal season.
The second person I would go with is Cedric Benson himself...or the minds behind the 05 draft. He is an NFL Draft bust. And to think that with the fourth pick that they passed up on Marion Barber, Cadillac Williams, Brandon Jacobs, and the steal of the draft....Frank Gore! I know that some people slide but with the exception of Tommie Harris, Devin Hester, and Greg Olsen...our drafts in the past have sucked.
Then you have to think of Grossman, Rashied Davis and Mark Bradley. Even without the line Grossman sucked. Davis and Bradley have yet to show that they belong in the league. Bradley, a speedster out of Oklahoma, showed promise but countless injuries have him spending as much time on the sidelines as the FatHead photographer guy, yet with fewer trips to the endzone.
The Bears are about to go into hybernation again for about two years, I am sorry to say. I am an avid Bears fan and it hurts me more than anyone but I have come to expect these things.

I don't know how much I am bringing to the table with this:
This Just in: REX Grossman is the Worst Player on the CHI Bears, the real question is, who is the 2nd worst player?
I don't know that one, that last minute Vasher move to the IR is kind of curious to me....I am a Birds fan, thanks for that 97 yard drive...

Well their receivers arent impressing me at all. But how can anyone say Orton is the worst player on the team???? He is doing just as good if not a better job than Rex and Brian. How many games did he win two years ago?
