I like both games a lot, Mario a bit more, but in the context of CHARACTERS, Sonic I think is WAY cooler

sonic by far! I am a Mario game freak but when your talking about characters sonic kicks Mario's butt.
Let's see... a fat old guy or a cute little hedgehog that'll kick your butt? I'll take the hedgehog!

Mario rocks. He has plenty extra character. Hmm. possibly this is by using the fact he's a man or woman. yet, heavily, the story line and plot is in simple terms far extra effective than Sonic. The gameplay may be slower, however the characters and music relatively in superb condition. Mario 2 is in simple terms an absolute classic.
