One of my favorite professors is jewish and he loves to go to latin places like Spain and Cuba to spend the holidays there. He even learned to speak spanish. He is not married so I imagine he probably travels alone. So I am just wondering what did other professors do for the holidays.

We're both in the professoring business. We spent our Christmas vacation at home, refinishing our bathroom, mostly. We'll probably go visit Mammoth Cave before classes start again. A certain amount of time is spent preparing classes and reading new textbooks, and my spouse had to finish a couple of papers she was working on. And we visited my mother, and other friends.

Where would you think professors would spend Christmas?

After grading finals, I drove my mother up to my sister and her family's house for Christmas itself. Now I'm getting ready to take a group of students to Canada for a marketing competition right after New Years.

Christmas is just one day off in India. Spent weeding, tending to my bonsai, and odds and ends in the house.
