If i were you i would take it back to where you purchased it from. If there is any hassle you can say the goods are not fit for puspose if the paint is coming off. If it is only 6 weeks then you should have no problems.

You did not mention what model you have but lately this problem was common with some models. I suggest that you take it back and choose another model because only some models have this problem. If you get the same it has the same problem. I work in telecoms.

return it to where you purchased it and ask for a replacement or repair, blaming faulty/poor quality
