What happens if they miscalculate and it is earth-bound instead... or any of the other meteors and stuff which we haven't seen or located yet... until it's too late.

Nah, if there was a meteor on the way Gordon Brown wouldn't be able to stop himself issuing a Meteor Prevention Tax and blaming it's approach on anyone with a car.

it is a given that we are all going to die, but i don't know that it will be by a meteor strike, as for the goverment keeping it quiet, well have you ever heard a pollie tell the truth anyway?

Doomesdayers have had predicitons of the end, since the beginning of time! Guess none have been accurate yet. They get allot of followers, revenue, and attention. I don't think we'll have notice of "the end", it'll just be.
