i'm just curious, with all the hate going around it just makes me wonder, what you all gain from it?

I agree. I'm tired of the same ol "Emo sucks...this sucks...that sucks." Basically, everything that came out past the year 1995 isn't good music to everyone on this website. I hope I'm not like this with my kids in the future. o_o

I have no idea but I think these people who are mean and hurtful are just gutless. I read a question the other day about a young man who had a personal problem he was worried about and I felt it was a genuine concern. Yet the amount of people who wrote ridiculous and hurtful answers for a rather serious subject was beyond a joke. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do but my best advice is to ignore them. One time I posted a genuine question on here and was so upset by the responses it made me cry and I deleted the question afterwards. It was something I genuinely struggled with and wanted help with yet the way people belittled me was awful. My advice: hold your head up, know you are better than them and when you see hurtful things in other peoples questions (comments made by awful people) make sure you write a good response to help that person out.

Probably because some of them are immature- that being said I know some people are very mature at 12 years of age and other still showing signs of immaturity well into the 30's
The other thing is that some people may behave differently here and have a sort of "on line persona" because it is anonymous.
It is just the make up of people, you will find it everywhere.

I don't know about hate in this section of Yahoo answers, but I do know that there has been hate shown in the baseball boards. But I don't know why people to this, but it always takes one person to start it. Somebody says something to get somebody mad, and they have to brinbg somnebody else in, and that countiunes until more people are mad at each other for some reason. But this no place to resolve problems like this, it should be done viva e-mail.

If you're talking about all of the reporting that's been going on around here lately, then I agree. Anyone who hits the report button because someone disagrees with their opinion needs to grow up.

My opinion is that it's mostly younger people talking about emotional issues, so things get heated in the process. I mean, what's more dear to a teenager than their music?

We're allowed to dislike certain music...
We're allowed to express our distaste of certain bands/artists etc...
In life, not everyone is going to agree with everything that everyone says..
Maybe you should explain, because at the moment I only sense immaturity on your part. You don't seem to be able to grasp the fact that people have differing views and that they have the right to express them.
