If I don't write all summer vacation, will I forget how to write?

No, unless you have something happen, like trauma, to the part of your brain that controls your writing (which is a mixture of your frontal lobe, which controls the actual movements of your hand, and the parietal lobe, which controls your grasp of language). You won't just forget how to write.

Yes it is referred to as writers block. On some days the imagination gains wings and soars, on others we become hopelessly grounded and unable to put pen to paper, or fingertip upon keyboard.

Overcoming this dilemma requires a firm resolute mind. And imposed deadlines.
