I process it. That's the only way to get rid of it, if you don't process it through and out of your system, it will stay inside you.

You can cry, sing, get angry, do some exercise, talk about it to someone else, just find a way to process it.

If your environment or psychological problems is the cause of your problem, then fix the problem. For instance, someone shy gets high stress from social situatios, in this case, it is chronic and needs to be resolved since it will always come back no matter what. Or another example, you job kills you, frustrates you, stresses you out, change your job.

Thumbs up to Max & NEPAguy. Process is necessary. Sorry to gift_of_encouragement. If you start eating as a coping mechanism, you’ll develop that as a habit & you’ll become a balloon. You’ll eat every time you’re stressed. You’ll add more mental & emotional stress to what you already have – and now physical stress?! Oh brother! NOT GOOD. Stress will continue to come. It’s just a fact of life. So develop good habits – like DEALING WITH THEM (i.e., processing). Be challenged with a good attitude. That means see your stress as growth opportunities. Grow by dealing with them & finding solutions to your problems. They will be food to you rather than burdens. This is absolutely possible. But you’ll succeed eternally more with God on your side. So get to know God. Blessings.

I will sing to my favourite tracks, dance like no one is watching, write..... sing, and just go out for fresh air. Coffeehouses are a great place to get a perception check and even meet some great people. = ]

I have heard that regular excersise is good for the state of mind. Especially if the shifts of weather is abrupt and oftenly changing.

Sometimes I Just bolt out the door and take a run around the block and come back if I'm feeling way tied down, or stressed.

Or even jog in place for a few minutes.

Do something you never dreamed of doing before, but this time when it sparks within you just go for it. Be sure it will make you feel good! If the answer is yes, then you know wat to do! ; ]

I use relaxation strategies. Usually walking, maybe exercise helps too, sometimes play computer games (though not too much) and dancing can be good too.

I also focus on the positive. In my work I try to make sure I do the best that I can, and in my life I try to be a good person and help my friends.

I also try and control my life, have my own time and ignore people who won't let me do things my way.

I country line dance.
I ice skate.
I work out on spinners at the gym.
I walk on the treadmill.
In the summer I open my home as much as possible to let in the air. That helps me to de stress as I live in the frozen north for 9months.
I lay in a tanning bed once in awhile to thaw out and de- compress.

I invite the person over to my house that is causing all this stress and take them out back to my target range and shoot up a box or two of bullets, you know, just to get to know them better.

MUSIC! music always helps, it may not be the universal healer, but it can at least help to ease the pain or stress.
