This statement is definitely true. You can be 100 years old but you could still jump in front of a moving car to save a little kid or something like that.
You can be poor and be able to offer happiness! SO YES

That is true, but for what purpose would a man be able to offer his life that he is also not able to offer something else?

It sounds true but it's not since the second part of the sentence contradicts the first part.
If you're still alive, how come you have nothing to offer since you still have your life to offer.
Even if you're not alive, but dead, you might still have to offer your many organs for transplant and save a lot of lives.
A man who is dead and seems to have nothing to offer can still offer his organs...
