Is there any way to get rid of cradle cap, or atleast diminish it? I have tried special lotion from the Dr, creamy baby oil, olive oil, neosporin, cocoa butter.... nothing seems to work very well! Any suggestions? Ty!

You're doing everything I would suggest. You can also try using head and shoulders once in a while and that helps too. The vegetable oil worked best for my daughter. Good luck!

What I did for my sons mild case of cradle cap was wash his hair and while his skin on his scalp was still damp took a baby comb and GENTLY sloughed off the scales. Then I let it air-dry. I think sometimes all of those creams and lotions just suffocate the skin and aggravate the issue.

The thing that worked best for my son cradle cap was to wash his hair regularly. Before I washed his hair, I would take his baby brush and loosen the scales up. Worked well for us.

One of my twin girls had this and when I asked my pediatrician about it she said to buy mineral oil. So I bought some Johnson & Johnson's baby mineral oil from the pharmacy department and it cleared it up within a week or so. It comes in a light blue container.

I know it is annoying, but really the only way that it is going to disappear is on it's own. It may take a few months but it will go away! My daughter had it and I tried EVERYTHING and nothing got rid of it. After a few months it just got rid of itself!
Good Luck

Hello, my baby's Dr advised me to use head and shoulders shampoo. [ I bought the walmart brand] worked great and pretty quickly. Be very careful not to get it in the baby's eyes though. I got dandruff shampoo in my eye one time and it caused severe burning and irritation ! way worse than regular shampoo!!! Good luck
