" The flottillas of the dead sailed around the world on underwater rivers.
Nearly nobody knew about them. But the theory is easy to understand.
It runs: the sea is, after all, in many respects only a wetter form of air. And it is known that air is denser the lower you go and lighter the higher you fly. As a storm-tossed ship founders and sinks, therefore, it must reach a depth where the water below is just viscous enough to stop its fall.
In short, it stops sinking and ends up floating on an underwater surface, beyond the reach of the storms but far above the ocean floor
It's calm there. Dead calm.
Some stricken ships have rigging, some even have sails. Many still have crew, tangled in the rigging or lashed to the wheel.
But the voyages continue, aimlessly, with no harbour in sight, because there are currents under the ocean and so the dead ships with their skeleton crew sail on around the world, over sunken cities and between drowned mountains, until rot and shipworms eat them away and they disintegrate."

- from "The 9,000 Year Prologue" of "Going Postal" by Terry Pratchett
This came to my mind when I read your question. Beautiful, melancholic picture, isn't it?

I would rather fly through the sea. Like that animal in the movie "Water Horse" that I just went to see yesterday. He would literally fly through the water. It looked so fun.
I am not a sky person, though it is fun to look at for dreaming.

I better fly through the sky like a bird and sea a perfect view of what is happening around the globe. I may not as well choose to swim through the sky for that would drown me forever.

Great question! Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

The sea is my place and sometimes a good down wind with a spinnaker is like flying.
Lest go fly the kite!

approximately 10 years in the past, on the advice of a chum, i began out taking Fish Oil pills (Omega 3) and interior of three days there grew to become right into a great replace in me. The leaves budding on the wood have been alluring, the air smelled candy and that i gave a sh!t what something regarded or felt like for the 1st time in my existence. After 3 months the experience of appreciation of existence, feeling like something I did must be an accomplishment or feeling like human beings weren't the enemy went away. suddenly I knew what grew to become into incorrect my total existence, yet i could no longer fix it. What i p.c. passionately is for that 3 months in no way to have got here approximately. i could p.c. to no longer be attentive to what that's p.c. to be wide-spread. yet that must be denying who i'm, so in no way techniques.

I swim through the sky...floating on air...weightless...doing the backstroke among the stars...like diamonds in my hair, cool, serene...smooth black sky like dark water rippling, glistening, my skin glowing in the moonlight...

a very relaxing image! Maybe I can fall asleep now...

That would be the most wonderful thought I have ever had to consider, and I thank you for it.

Hm.

Both are immensely desirable scenarios, and I do both, in my dreams.
