i think so. we would be much better off living in small independant communities living life how it ought to be. not a life a chasing money, but we need $ so we can live now days. don't you think the machine isen't looking out for our best interest and mother nuture more inclined to, since we are born from it. the "machine" is cold and only wishs us to do things not in our nature. the machine being i guess you could say technology.

Efficiency. Technology makes the world more efficient. The cotton gin is one of those things.

I don't know what you said, but I will just agree that the machine is not good. Machines made us lazy and dependent on them.

Sure technology is bad.

Without technology we wouldn't have enough food to eat to start with. It is technology that creates a world where there is enough for everyone to eat.

It is technology that keeps us living beyond the age of 30 (average life expectancy in pre-tech days).

The problem is not the technology but our own corrupted souls.

When fear drives us we build enough nuclear weapons to wipe life off the face of the planet, we drive SUVs because we are scared on the roads, we turn off the world through our iPods and spend all day writing answers to questions on Answers.com instead of asking our friends.

Instead, I choose to live a life where I get in touch with the world. I love technology (if you don't like technology then next time you have a root canal, do it without pain killers).

But I use it to get me closer to people. Just as I am doing my best to help you, a stranger that I don't know, as I would help my friends and colleagues.

So man, give away your fear and then we will be masters of technology not its slaves.

technology isn't bad. But it's how it's used that can be bad. Wasting time on the internet playing games and watching porn is bad, on there to complete a school assignment or something useful like that is good. Its the use, not the idea.

There has always been technology.

"People's use of technology began with the conversion of natural resources into simple tools. The prehistorical discovery of the ability to control fire increased the available sources of food and the invention of the wheel helped humans in traveling in and controlling their environment"
