Yes, I've given it a lot of thought. I don't follow society's opinions, I like to think for myself. It's just not rational to believe there is a god.

I think about that a lot actually. I was raised Catholic but over the past year I've had some serious doubts. Still trying to work it out with myself, who knows if I'll ever decide one way or the other. I'd like to believe that God is real, but I don't know if I can.

Besides atheists and modernists, countless others deny God’s sovereignty. A vast number today claim to believe in God, and more than 1,700 million call themselves Christians. For centuries the churches of Christendom have publicly praised God in their services. But where do most of those 1,700 million people really stand on the matter of God’s sovereignty?
Both individuals and nations have demonstrated their disregard for it by going against God’s specific commands. Nations claiming to be Christian have perpetrated godless acts of violence, including the two worst wars of human history—and “Christian” clergymen on both sides blessed those wars! By such hypocrisy, they have greatly misrepresented God. As the Bible states: “They publicly declare they know God, but they disown him by their works.”—Titus 1:16 states :They publicly declare they know God, but they disown him by their works, because they are detestable and disobedient and not approved for good work of any sort.
Nevertheless, God “cannot deny himself.” 2 Timothy 2:13 says: if we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself.
The time must come when he will resolve all aspects of this issue of sovereignty in harmony with his own stated purpose: “They will have to know that I am Jehovah.” Ezekiel 38:23 says: And I shall certainly magnify myself and sanctify myself and make myself known before the eyes of many nations; and they will have to know that I am Jehovah.
But why has he taken so long? How will the issue finally be resolved? And how can you make right decisions in this most important matter?
All these question should be asked of yourself before you make such a bold statement. I found the answer, but I do not give myself credit for it. The truth is out there. Please spend some time on really giving the chance of a god a real chance.
Pray to him with a honest heart and he will show himself. It is up to you, draw close to God and God will draw close to you.

No man has seen God at any time. That is what scripture says. I believe each person must decide for themselves. Without faith it is impossible to please God. That being said I believe it is a fruitless detour to try and prove or disprove God's existence. To go a step further, I believe and have become convinced, that to prove to God of my worthiness of His approval by living "a good life" is also fruitless and selfish. I give up my attempts at righteousness to be reborn into His.

I've thought about it. Many a time. And I guess it might be denial but, I like the idea that there is someone watching over me and someone who will always love me, no matter how much I screw up and how much I loose. It might be that He isnt' real, and that everything is a lie but, who isnt' to say that you aren't real? That this is all a lie.
Whoa. I'm gettin' a bit too deep here.

I've thought about it. Had it shoved down my throat every which way from Sunday. Been told - sternly - that if I don't get my backside to church every Wednesday night and Sunday morning, I'm in like Flynn for *ETERNAL DAMNATION*......
I believe that religion is a very personal thing and that it shouldn't be flaunted, disregarded or criticized - by anyone.
He knows what I believe - and thats all that matters.....

Thought about it, changed my mind over and over... it's just part of growing up but it's always good to study different religions, it helps you understand people and culture. Then one day you can just chill with whatever your God is or isn't... and change your mind about it again... until you die. Figuring that stuff out is like figuring out who you are. It's an ever changing landscape traveled by your life. Goodluck!

Good question. When I looked into my own heart and realized that IN TRUTH I am not sufficient to help others, that I am basically just a selfish human being, that it would take someone bigger than me to solve the world's problems; that is when I turned to God.
