The moment lives, whether we attempt to kill it or not. It is we who die.

Very often it does. So as I age, I try to make the most of every moment, especially where other people are involved. I don't want to lose them because I didn't act on the moment.
There are things that haunt me like the time I wanted to go somewhere with my dad and brother and they didn't want me to go. So I hid my brother's shoes under a bush. Then I felt bad so I went out, got them, and threw them on the porch. My mom saw me and made me sit in a chair until I apologized. That still haunts me many years later.

I wish!

I would kill an awful lot of moments

Stuff the consequences

I am sure that some moments could not come back any worse than they did the first time around

And if they did I get ready before hand and shoot them in the foot as soon as they showed up

There you go

Problem fixed

Nope. The moments come and go, and if you killed it, you would have no recollection of the moment in the next second anyway.

No dead bodies, no murder weapon, no broken hearts bleeding on the floor.

Everybody picks themselves up , dust the owees and life goes on.
