It depends more on the style of the clothes. Are the navy pants jeans? Like, skinny jeans more specifically.

And is the jacket thin and more like a casual coat, rather than a winter jacket?

If the answer to those is yes, then you can pull it off.

It all depends on the shade, style, and how you wear it. Okay navy pants you say? Yes, that's do-able. But are they like chinos? Like could you get them from J.Crew? Anyways, now to assess the yellow. Okay light yellow, how light? Are we talking pastel? Or just a lemony yellow. I say anything with the word "light" in it (other than metallics and off whites) is unacceptable for winter. Now a punchy bright yellow could actually work. It would be quite preppy and cute with the navy. For further ideas, check out www.jcrew.com
Good luck!

yellow and navy is a good color combo if say perhaps you're wearing a long sleeve Ralph Lauren rugby polo. Then I would say definitely give it a go.

But yellow jacket with navy pants? Navy pants are fine...but a yellow jacket? Seriously? I thought October 31st came and went already. Regardless, I think the best time to wear a yellow jacket would be.... never!

Depends where you will be wearing the outfit. Beachy areas wear brighter clothes that other areas may consider spring. Some place tropical may work too!!

im picturing it now, and it looks so cute. i saw a model wearing a yellow coat and navy skinny pants in an H&M magazine. it looked adorable. i think if your clothes look similar to the ones i saw in the magazine, it would look great!

Sure! Warm colors psychologically make you feel warmer.
I wouldn't wear all yellow, but as part of an outfit it is fine!

oh, I don't think so, not even for spring. I just can't get a visual. Jeans & light fleece maybe, but not like, wools or linen or a mix of both.

Unless you live in a real sunny place! Then go for it! :)

Yes you can. Just pair it with earth tones. Dark brown turtle neck, brown belt, shoes, & purse. Gold jewelry. Keep your makeup very basic.
