When you are picking colors for your skin tone, stick with natural, subtle colors. If you have a fair complexion, it is best to stay away from dark colors. For dark skinned women, you should stay away from white or light colors; look for eyeshadows that are deep with color.

Choosing the best eyeshadow for your skin tone and eye color will help your eyes to stand out. It makes the whites of the eyes appear "whiter," causing the iris color to "pop." I'm not saying you have to stick with these colors for the rest of your life, I know we all need a little variety. But these are the best colors for you on the days you really want to look your best.

The best bet is to put some on your hand to match the skin tone. Never, and I repeat never, match your eye shadow to your clothing (big mistake women made in the 90s). The best bet is to go as natural as possible. You want to accentuate your features, not create new ones. :)

Blue Eyes: Browns, rosy pinks, and warm shades contrast the coolness of blue eyes, making them pop.

Brown Eyes: Greens and golds accentuate the colored flecks in brown eyes.

Green Eyes: Purples and warm browns provide a stunning contrast to green eyes.

Hazel Eyes: Deep greens and pale yellows pick up the varying flecks in hazel eyes.

Almay has eye shadows to go with your eye color. I would imagine those same colors would go with your skin tone.

The colors that you look great in for clothing will also work for makeup.
Try colors that contrast with eyes:
Green - rust, apricot, gold, blues, grays, purples, caramels, browns. Also a green much darker or much lighter than eye shad, and aquas..
Blue - pink, grays, greens, purples, rosy browns, silver, and a blue much darker or lighter than eye color, and aquas.
Hazel - pink, greens, grays, blues, browns, purples, and silver.
Brown - pink, greens, grays, blues, contrasting browns, purples, silver.

i say a very formidable champagne gold eyeshadow. alongside with a normal gilrly look. like, with attractive one colour tank tops, darker tight sweaters or vests, and a few capris or shorts. upload some turn flops, and turn your hair with a curling iron...you would be good to circulate!

it's really not as difficult as you think.
first, go to a makeup counter at your
local mall/department store. i know
that macy's and nordstrom have them.
i suggest M-A-C if you want to go all
out with wild colors, or even natural
colors too! try them out by first gliding
the eyeshadow stick accross your
hand. if you really like one try it on
your eyes. thats what i always do!

Go to department stores and ask for the free makeovers. They'll be able to show you what will work best for you!
