...the packaging was indeed quite appealing, economically priced and compact, considering the number of movies they were trying to pack into each disc (...each 'Legacy' collection would have the first 'creature' film on one disc, with all the extras associated with that movie, and all the other films in each creature's series, were crammed onto the second disc)...

...unfortunately, depending upon the sensitivity of the DVD player, the disc which contained the sequels, was sometimes susceptible to heavy pixelization, and freezing up; some of the 'Legacy' collections that I picked up, I had to put through two or three other machines, before I could play them properly...

However, apparently enough people have expressed their disappointment to Universal Home Video, regarding this outlandish discrepancy, and as a result, Universal is slowly re-issuing the better-quality double-feature 'flipper' discs (...i.e., a movie on each side of the disc), which they put out, before the 'Legacy' collections disc sets (...which in turn, were issued as a promotion for Universal's 2004 special-effects horror extravaganza, "Van Helsing"...

...as far as going ahead, and picking up any of the 'Legacy' collections, might I suggest using discretion; after all, as the old Latin saying goes, "Caveat Emptor", or "Let the Buyer Beware"...

I happen to enjoy classic horror films and Universal was a leader in that field. I have most of the films mentioned on either VHS or DVD.
However, try seeing if either Netflix or Blockbuster has it for rental.

I think I saw something like that at best buy. I would say yes, check it out but I am not 100% sure.
