which would you choose with the Dell Vostro 1500
Either
Core Duo 1.4Ghz and 3 GB memory
or
Core Duo 1.6 ghz, 2MB L2 cache and 2 GB memory

Easy, the better processor. I have a 2.0 ghz Core Duo with 4MB cache with 2 GB of ram. I dont think the extra gig of ram would help more than the faster CPU.
