Just wondering how far along most poeple are when they are given a shower?

My friends and I usually wait until at least after the 28 week mark. That's usually the milestone that encourages everyone that the pregnancy will go on to term (---most--- of the time). I just attended a shower about a month ago with the mom-to-be at 32 weeks. My suggestion would be 28-32 weeks. That still gives the mom plenty of time to go to other showers, to get things ready that may not have been received at the showers and still equips them with enough in case Baby comes early. She also usually still feels pretty good and isn't having contractions yet. :-)

I had my shower Oct 7 (I was due Nov 13th)..I felt about a month before was the best time to have it. I bought a some clothes beforehand, but basically waited till after my shower to go shopping for baby. A felt that month gave some leeway so that if I ended up having my baby early, I most likely would still have had my shower before.

I had mine really early, but was glad I did because it gave me time to put everything together, and get what I didn't get at the shower. I was only 26 weeks, I think. Just wanted to do it before the holidays.
I think most people like to do it a month to 6 weeks before you are due.

personally i had my baby shower about a month before the baby came because it adds to the excitement of pregnancy and when you have it after its just kind of draining . . . its also not safe to have your newly born baby around all of those ppl no matter how close they are to you sending out pics is a better choice lol hope i was helpful

There is no correct time really I suggest waiting atleast until you know what you are having if you are going to find out. If not I would say around 30 weeks is perfect good luck.

Whenever is the best time for you and the person throwing it.
I had one at 3 months because that was when I was home in the U.S. visiting family and friends and I'm having one at 34 weeks because that's when my best friend here in Korea wants to throw it.

When ever u feel completly up to it. If its seven months 8 or 9 or when the gets here when ever u feel like u have the energy.

I would say about 4 to 6 weeks before your due date, thats when I had mine.

About 2 months before. It gives you time to get all the new clothes washed and put away, and everything else you get organized.

I had it when I was 32 weeks with my daughter, and it's planned for 32 weeks with this one too. This way you still have time to get what you need, and you aren't feeling as horrible as you will later one.
