Ive raised 3 children 2 girls and 1 boy. They started sleeping through the night at about 3 months. My son was diagnosed at 3 months with Cystic Fibrosis and slept very little before the diagnosis. Once we started him on medication he began to sleep through the night. Much of it depends on how much you let them sleep during the day, how much you play with them, how much they eat before they go to bed. I was actually able to change their diaper in the middle of the night without them wanting up.

In rare cases a baby may sleep through the night (defined as a five hour stretch or longer) by ten days, but most babies don’t do this until three months or later. Waking up once, twice, or three times during the night is not uncommon. Between one third and one quarter of all babies will continue to wake up during the night even after they are a year old

my daughter slept 5 hours the second night she was home from the hospital she sleeps from 6pm till 7am and might get up once. She's 8 1/2 months old but has been doing this since she was 3 months. It all depends on your baby try giving him/her a shorter nap during the day. Cause my daughter takes 2 half hour naps

It depends on the baby sweetheart, my daughter slept through the night from 2 weeks old and still does to this day. If you put the baby on a shedule, the baby with get used to it very quickly but you have to be persistant and at the same time always or it would work. Good luck

my son is 2months will be 3 months on the 9th of january and he slept through the night for the first time yesterday from 8:30 to 8:30. My first son started sleeping through around 3 months too. Just remember every baby is different. It also depends on if they eat breast milk or bottle milk. Formula babies tend to sleep longer because the milk takes longer to digest then breastmilk.

My daughter started at 2 weeks. I have heard several different answers to this question, but the most common is 3 months. my daughter is 3 months now and she sleeps much longer than she ever used to, so perhaps it's true?

It varies so much by the baby and the parent (as they ultimately control the schedule), but both usually get the hang of it at 8 months to a year for a first time child. It (you) gets better with each one :) Good Luck!
