i have a 23 in 1 card reader when i connect to my pc i need to use add new hardware wizard but it cant find my card reader driver so i try other pc.the other pc install the card reader automatically without add new hardware wizard.how to enable hardware installation automatically without add new hardware wizard?

using win xp ..the other pc use win xp..theres no infomation about the manufacturer...

what windows are you using? the second pc is probably win 2000 or later, those have a lot of drivers preinstalled on it already. older windows versions will have to have drivers installed on it to work. gonna have to search the card reader website or find some generic drivers for it

Probably the card reader driver was installed already on the second machine, so all it had to do was use it.
The alternative to install wizard is to have the software.
Try searching the internet, the company may have them on its site.

you shouldn't have to download anything to read info off a card reader. but what kind of card reader do you have??? it should be just plug and play. - no drivers needed-
you could search for the drivers on the manufacturers site.
