Ask a question saying What is your favorite football team? Do not be specific as ...your favorite NFL team or ...your favorite college team as that immediately cuts your responses in half. Take a look at this question in which the user asked What is your favorite football team and notice how many responses there are: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjDppaNjO31TDCJdVsJs8UJWxQt.;_ylv=3?qid=20071227194045AAMdUTE

Say or ask something completely absurd like do you think Peyton Manning should be benched for Jim Sorgi or something crazy. Those idiotic questions will get you plenty of answers, mostly hate answers, but they are deservable. After all, it's more fun to challenge somebody's point than just simply suck up and agree with them.
