Maybe they have really big space stations...and have space ships on them. Since that makes them closer to the earth...they are able to visit our planet?.(The same as our astronauts .go to space stations and then come back here.)
(This is what happens when you run out of questions to ask! Your mind becomes very "creative". (The scientists on here will recognize that I know NOTHING about the space stations..or the Universe.)(Just pretend I'm a 3rd grader asking this.! Be nice!!)(Don't bruise my creativity!)

Just letting you all know that I'm not the one giving those thumbs downs. I RARELY ever give a thumbs down to anyone..only if they're extremely rude, crude or have answers that could be dangerous or hurtful for someone to follow.

Sandy...I told you I didn't know anything about space..But, wouldn't it shorten THEIR(the aliens) distance if they had several space stations half way in between them and the earth? It could be like a refueling station. (I'm just trying to understand)

Denie..it's definitely not a dumb question. Aliens from many star systems have been visiting earth for millions of years. There are hundreds of alien bases underground and under the ocean. Their purposes vary from scientific research, mineral mining, to dark objectives like taking over the surface at some point. The Grays are the most populace species visiting the earth. There are underground alien bases on the moon and on mars. Our astronauts have seen them in space and on the moon. They also have space stations throughout the Milky Way. Thousands of police, pilots, doctors, engineers and scientists have had various encounters with aliens. The aliens do have relationships with a select few humans including various governments. If you study UFO phenomena, you will soon be convinced, they are here and have been here through the ages. The aliens are vastly superior in technology to mankinds. They also will not reveal themselves to the masses, because humans are a violent species. Governments keep secret their studies and interactions in order to maintain the edge they think they have in learning alien technology for warfare purposes, as well as avoiding mass hysteria.

Our space stations are in orbit of our planet. Launching interstellar voyages from there wouldn't save us much time. I suppose it's possible we could have one or a series of waystations to break the trip up into sections, but the real problem is traversing the vast distances between solar systems.
Light travels at 186,282.397 miles per *second*. It takes light thousands and millions of years to reach us here, so imagine how long it would take a space ship (with or without waystations) to get here, even if it traveled 186,282.397 miles per *hour*.
That being said, although I have no evidence, I don't think it's unreasonable to believe in the strong probability there is life elsewhere. There might very well have been civilizations that became extinct before there was even a single cell organism on Earht. What their technology is right now I don't know.

Of course it's possible. In fact NASA has discussed the possibility of a way (space) station half way between Mars and Earth for any future attempts of manned flights to Mars.
I am glad you have found a way to tap into your creativity.
Research on creativity shows that some knowledge of a subject is required in order to make creative contributions to a field so that one doesn't keep reinventing the wheel but that too much knowledge in a field is actually counterproductive to creative contributions. Most people with PhDs (and other doctoral degrees) contribute the most to their field while in school and almost nothing after graduation (of course there are notable exceptions).
I applaud you for thinking in "How do we make this possible" ways instead of "Explain to me why we can't do this" ways.
If your thinking like a 3rd grader so are the engineers that work at NASA so I count you in good company.

If you really look at the enormity or rather the infinite-ness of space, you quickly realize that our world, our god, our existence is definitely not the ONLY world as we know it. Given that there are limitless suns (solar systems) like ours in the universe and each of the could easily support life as we know it, you can probably put a YES against every question you ask... and be certain that by mathematical probability, you are definitely right.
Again given that evolution could be in infinite forms, we as humans are just one instance of evolution - our celestial neighbors would most probably not look like us, but you can be sure that enough of them will be far lesser than us and enough of them will be far superior to us.
Yes, like someone else said in their response, my only regret in this life time would be that I saw the universe only within the realms of what I was taught in school or what our scientists and astronomers could show us through their telescopes and probes - and that so far has not even scratched the surface.
But lets hope that someone out there finds us interesting enough to make contact with us.

Science fiction writers usually have a huge vessel with complete life support with scout ships so if a science fiction can think this up could not an advanced society think this way also?? At sub- light speeds may take many lifetimes to FIND a society such as ours in space then send shuttle craft aka.UFO's/ USO's USO UNDERWATER also. to investigate us? Were like ants to them. Scientists/Explorers from Earth would do the same! Hope THEY are friendly !Scientists/Explorers from Earth will go this route even with WARP(beyond light) speeds

Height of the orbit of the International Space Station = 200 miles.
Distance to the nearest star than might have planets = about 6,000,000,000,000 miles.
The ability to put a space station into orbit doesn't make much of a dent in interstellar distances.

hey denie...
my mind always thinks of the possibilities...lol
i cannt really answer your question....but i do often wonder where the universe goes....and whats out there far far beyond...i often think about before people knew the earth was round....when the first sailers would sail out right out and find themselves pretty much where they started from....i suppose it was all in discovering the earth was round and not flat...i often wonder the same for the universe, if it were ever possible to explore...if you kept going out into it, would it come back. around.....i always think about where it goes, and what could be out there???? ...
