Being old to me means that most of the athletes are younger than me and me being an aunt to a teenager, and having a second cousin who's 20! LOL!
The fact I can't ride a bike because of my knees, and it's been that way for nearly a decade. I can't squat or jog, either. I only risk hurting myself jogging for if it's THAT important, like protecting my child, or it's dire emergency, to give a couple examples.
There's the fact I have a BAD habit of not remembering what I write in my emails, so I repeat myself a lot of the time.
But you know what, despite feeling broke down physically and a bit mentally due to some bad sense of memory at times, I actually feel as young as 15! When my life is where I want to be, then I'm likely to give myself a second sweet 16 party! LOL! Hopefully that will be when I'm 32 next year, as I'll be 16 X 2 then!
If anyone picks on you and calls you old, let me at 'em with my walking stick!

Hey Lisa!
I've had reading glasses for about ten years now, so I try really hard not to think of it as an age-related thing. I was reading way too much and getting headaches because of the eye strain, so the glasses have alleviated that problem.
You're not actually old - you're well-read.

That doesn't make you old. I've had glasses since I was 9 and I should have had them clear back when I was about 5 or 6.

hmmmm ... I've been wearing glasses since the 1st grade
"reading glasses tho?"
thinking about getting a pair of prescription-type reading glasses next time, since wearing "all-distance" glasses of the progressive-lens trifocal variety only gives a tiny piece of angular displacement to "read" with.
"I feel your pain." [ok, I'm lying a bit, since *I wish* I had that kind of pain to deal with]
...........
just wait till the doctor suggests a
"you need a colonoscopy"
... LOLOL .. you think reading glasses is an upsetting thing ....
"get old or die " ... what a choice :_)

Get some glasses you like and go with it. I wear glasses for distance as you can see by my avatar. Mine have a yellow tint and I like them O.K. We're all getting older. If you find a way to go in reverse, let me know. Good luck Lisa!

As long as I have my hair, I'm good. My eyes are pretty perfect but every grandparent I had wore glasses so it's only time. But I have my grandfather's hair so I'll be fine. He survived many years of cancer treatment with a full head of hair.

That`s not when you are old, that happens when you go half way on the stairs, and forget wether you were going up, or down. Take it from me the altenative isn`t all that pleasant, either. At 77 I consider myself an expert.

Lisa ...... it doesn't mean you are getting old ...... you age is judged by how old you act and the spirit inside you ...... lots of people especially teachers have to end up using reading glasses since they do so much reading in their professions ..... so please don't cry, you will always be 25 to me ...... = )
