I've had friends on the same page but in the end they all seemed to find something they love to do. I just cant find that kind of motivation in anything I do. Most of all How do you find such motivation? No matter what I seem to have none of it, whether I do good or bad at something. Most of the time I have to force myself to do things when I shouldnt have to. Alot of things become pretty tiring to do to me.
I've been told my paintings are pretty good but it just never seems to hold my interest and same for some other things. Any of you experience this? :P

Maybe you have some kind of ADD or something like it, meaning you get bored easily doing the same thing for long. If this is the case, I would recommend finding several completely different things that you like, and spend a little bit of time with each one. This way, by the time you are bored with one thing, something you haven't done in a while starts to sound pretty good.

Or you could have some type of depression, there are types of depression where instead of feeling sad or depressed, your body feels depressed and your mind feels tired all the time. Easy cures for this are making sure you have good sleeping habits and take vitamins, and get lots of exercise (probably the most important thing). Oh and sunlight, too. Sunlight is very good for your mental health.

I think your talent is important. Yet your motivation leads to talent. Therefore, your motivation is more important. Also, you should remember you also need a lot of determination, as you said, and A LOT of dedication and love for this dance style. And also, you should remember that Ballet takes a lot of flexibility so you need to be very devoted to learning flexibility. I'm sure you'll do great in ballet as long as you have a passion for this and it is what you REALLY want to do. I know how you feel, I'm going to check out a jazz dance class on Tuesday and I'm so excited! I think I will really love this!!!! And I feel just like you when you said "But I'm so determined to make this work :) I really want to get good :) I love how ballet looks. I want to dance like that so bad!" I would say the same thing exept replacing ballet with jazz dance! I agree with you 10000000000000000000% and I love your way of thinking!

Sometimes we feel well, just plain worthless. We get behind it somehow and cant catch up and feel behind and worthlessness is the natural feeling that accompanies this depression. Usually what happens is that we lift ourselves up on high and think we are right and then when we find we are nowhere near such a height we pretend to be depressed when in reality we never left for up nor down, we just go these different hormonal effects all the time and many of us use it to squiz-out on themselves and so... join the crowd.

Not sure if I can completely answer your question, but I can share something with you.

I have played hockey all my life, ever since I was like 4. I am very very good at it and could possibly play competitive college level hockey if I wanted. The problem is I don't like playing hockey. The only reason I am finishing my last year is because people depend heavily on me. My club team, as well as my highschool.

My suggestion is you try different things, things you have never done and see which ones you love to do.

Here's some motivation. If you become complacent, life will become meaningless. Do something! Try a lot of different things until you find what interests you......but never stop or you'll end up discouraged and lazy and won't like yourself anymore. Keep painting too!!!

talent resides in you. every person have their own talents. find the field in which you are talented. motivation comes from others, means if u find something inspiring in others then it will motivate you to do that. if you like that only you will get inspired right?? Then there is no chance of doing things which you dont like....
so find out an unique talent in you which motivate others....
all the best... :)

Are you a male? If you are then this is typical of one of the tragedies of modern Education. Society in it's bid to mother and femi foo us has took away any sort of Competitiveness. Men/ Boys drive on competitiveness in all Fields, not just sport.

I don't think you find a talent....it finds you. You can't force it, but I believe if you live each day open, it will come to you. We all get our talents at different times. And, when you find yours....the motivation will follow. In the meantime, just remain positive and live each day EXPECTING to find it....

Are you feeling average in a world of talented people? We've all felt that at one time.

You have a talent of art. If you're not motivated to explore it, then it's not your passion.
