I got a flash drive for Christmas (It's a Lexar), and although it works on my Mom's computer, it won't even recognize it on mine. The first time I plugged it in it said that using it or whatever could damage my computer, so I hit cancel, and ever since my computer won't acknowledge that I've plugged it in. Help?

I am using Windows XP, it does not light up when I stick it in, and it came with no CDs.

What OS are you using for your computer? Not each windows system recognize all the hardwares drivers. The message you received just to let you know your flash driver hasn't been validated by Microsoft Windows if you're using Windows as your OS. Easy...do you have the flash drive CD driver, don't you? Load it in your cd drive and install the driver from that cd. If you have no that cd, try to search that flash driver from its company website, then download the driver and install it into your HD. Done.

Stick it in, does it light up? If it lights up-or flashes then it will work.
Hit my computer, see if the Lexar shows up in that menu.
You can also go on line to Lexar and report it to them.
