Considering he also vomited the apple juice, it's probably a virus and not a milk insensitivity. If he isn't dehydrated (which he isn't, if he still pees enough), then I wouldn't worry for now and just see how tomorrow goes. Keep trying to give him small amounts of formula and liquidy solids. Also, vomit also looks like more then it actually is... your son might have consumed more liquid than you think he has. If things don't improve in a few days or your baby gets dehydrated call the doctor again, and if the doctor doesn't do anything then, then I'd get a second opinion. But for now I wouldn't worry.

It is a very good pos. that your child has a stomach infection or viral infection. Often time when a child's stomach is upset, or if they are running a fever, milk and dairy products can make them vomit. Try water down juice only about an ounce at a time waiting at least 15-20 minutes before giving more. Than slowly increase the amount of fluid. I know juice does not give all the nec. nutrients, but it does keep them hydrated.

You need to take your child to the doctor PERIOD. my son had this same issue and we "thought" it was the milk we was giving him, so we were told to switch. Not only that he ended up throwing up EVERYTHING HE DRANK AND ATE. So we tool him to Children's Hospital and they had to do little x-rays on him and thats when they found out he had a blockage in his tummy. Its been 3yrs since this happend so i cant remember the term for the blockage but all it is, is a lump in the babies little feeding tube in his stomach that blocks the food from entering the stomach, so the food, milk etc...ends up coming back out, forcing the child to throw it all up!. my son had to have it surgically opened. So just take your child to the doctor to be on the safe side because you never know what is REALLY going on with their little bodies. Oh and btw I was told that this condition is known to only happen to boys which are the 1st born.

Give him Pedialyte instead of the milk. If he has a cold milk will make him puke more because it creates more mucus. My 3 year-old has been asking for milk but he has a bad cold right now and it does the same thing.

When he is vomitting you do not give him milk all day, give pedialyte or water but milk is the worse. Take him to the doc just to be sure.

if this has never happened before, i would assume first that it is some type of illness before a sudden intolerance or allergy.
