come over,and all he did was make it worse,He told me certain things need to be done to it,they were,I find out later from other people,that what he said that needed to be fixed didn't.I won't go back to my co-worker's dad who is a plumber,that is for sure,any suggestions?

The heater is a gas,wall heater.

Sort of need to know what type of heater you're talking about, electric, hot water, forced air, gas, etc. If I needed a good plumber I'd ask friends, relatives, and neighbors who they would recommend. Calling the Better Business Bureau or your local Chamber of Commerce couldn't hurt either.

first, why wuold you have a "plumber" look at a gas haeter? that's like going to the barber to have a root canal done. you need a "HVAC" tech, look in the "yellow pages" under heat & air condition contractors.

Find a reputable company with a familiar name in the yellow pages.
