My husbands family is staying for a couple of weeks or so over the holiday season and since I am on bed rest, I have decided to order them all around. (It is lots of fun!!!)

This is the theme of my last nursery. The underwater theme.
Now my problem is this theme was going to be a space theme, but I don't want the room to be real dark. I like bright airy places.
We have glow in the dark stars for the roof, and a planet mobile. Now I am stuck.
What kind of wall pattern, colours could I do??
I should add, I don't care if it is wall paper or paint. I am not putting it up. And the nursery is only used until the babies move into their own room, so it doesn't have to last forever. :)
Thanks. Any idea's would be awesome!!

The home stores sell glow-in-the-dark paint and if you have an overhead projector or can rent one- you can put that on the wall with the smoke using the paint that glows.
Wall colors: blues, whites, etc.
I'll think some more- my thinker is on Sudafed tonight!

This is what I would do: I'd paint it maybe a navy blue, and paint some stars in glow in the dark paint, also buy some of those glow in the dark stars, and stick them on the walls, do a rocket ship, with some white, billowly smoke, and draw some planets on the walls, and paint them in either bright colors, such as orange, blue, and other colors like that. Or do them in more pastel colors? I would also get some furniture to match the walls, for the book shelves, I'd paint it to match the walls, paint stars on it. And then on the walls, I'd put an astornouat on it. For like stuffed animals and such, I'd get stars that play music, planets, rocket ships, anything related to space. (:
I hope this helps!

We just bought some pajamas for our son that are space themed. They are light blue with a dark blue accent, and have rocket ships, aliens, and planets on them. It is kind of cheesy, but maybe you could do something with the solar system, or even with cute little aliens. Maybe you could make the floor of the room and part way up the walls like the surface of the moon. Good luck, and congratulations on ordering your family around!

What about having a rocket ship and have smoke billowing out of the bottom. The whole bottom of one wall could be like white smoke clouds - would lighten the color a bit. Then have the sky get darker as it goes up towards the ceiling so it isn't dark blue the whole way.

The first nursery was adorable.... But I think you should go and paint your room black and spend a few months in it.
Nursery should be the same colors that the kids need to learn about red blue and yellow. Just primary colors sweetie.

You can hire me and I will do the nursery for you.
I think a very comforting off white nursery would be amazing. Soft and peaceful.
A pale colored tan ceiling with very subdue fluffy clouds. All understated. Lushous & peaceful. Soft & sleepy.

what about rocket ships on the walls.. and space stuff there.. but a darker color on the ceiling maybe a slate blue.. so you can see the stars.... but a lighter color on the walls so the stars pop out during the day also...
