Blind people do see in their dreams if they were previously able to see. If they were always blind, then they dream in sound, smell, touch, and taste, or fabricated visual imagery.

My understanding is, if they never had the ability to see, they simply have dreams that involve all the other senses.

It may be possible for you to have a dream about flying, because you can guess what it would be like. But if you never saw, I don't think you can imagine it, and thus I don't think blind people can "see" things when they dream, if they never could.

I think it's the same thing for deaf people, they don't hear things in their dreams.

if a person has been blind since birth then they have never seen anything, there would be no images for them to imagine in their minds. however a person who hasnt been blind their whole life could possibly see in their dreams. it would probably depend on what age they went blind.

You can understand what a blind person sees unless you have been blind. Its not like seeing the color black, because you dont see anything.

I think that if they were able to see at one stage of there life they would be able to dream of normal things.

But if they were lind ther whole life they dream the things they feel like da shapes and stuff. or just random objects like space and other things.

That's a very interesting question! My guess would be that they see the shapes that they feel. They will most likely not be the right color but I bet they probably see shapes and hear.

That is a good question. I suspect that you will not have an eye witness answering though, due to the nature of the questions delivery.
