If your egg is fertilized and results in a birth, you are the child's biological mother just as a sperm donor would be this child's biological father. Is that what you're asking?

no it is not the same as adoption. When a child is put up for adoption it is because his birth parents are either unable or unwilling to care for him. When an egg is donated, a woman gives her egg to a couple who wants to conceive a child, but is unable for some reason. Yes, if you donate an egg the child will share your DNA so it may have the same blood type, share physical characteristics, etc. But since the egg is donated the child will not be legally yours.

It is half a child with scientific intervention. Without the sperm, there would be no child and vice versa, but it also has to have a womb to grow in. Yes, it would carry some characteristics as the mother and may have the same blood type but it could also be the father's too. Technically it is called donating or selling your eggs. But in the other sence anyone can adopt something. You can even adopt a highway. lol

It would similar to donating sperm.
The child who is the result of your egg donation would carry half of the genetic characteristics from you genetics. And half of the characteristics of the sperm donor.
I guess you could sort of look at it as the same as putting up a child for adoption. In the case of a person carrying donated eggs, legally they are considered the true parent of that child

No it isn't like adoption, it is like sperm donation. you have to take a lot of shots and have your eggs harvested in the hospital but it is a good service. Your dna of course goes with the egg because it is your egg with your dna in it to make your babies!! This is just to give somone else a chance to have a baby inside of them as well. No they will not have the same blood type as you not all kids have the same type as their mom.

It's not the same as putting a child up for adoption, morally...HOWEVER, when it comes to dna, physical characteristics and the like it is exactly the same as giving a child up for adoption. IF the egg is used for a pregnancy, the child would genetically and biologically be your child.
This was a very thought provoking question. Good job.

Yes as the baby that is born from the fertilized donor egg would also have your DNA. But the baby has just as much a chance of having the person who fertilized the egg's blood type as the person who donated the egg.

No donating your eggs at giving a child up for a adoption. Your giving your eggs to a woman who's eggs ain't good. There chance of getting pregnant are good. You are doing a good thing. I prays you for that.

as far as your genes go, it depends on how dominant or ressive they are and which ones get passed on to the egg to figure out what characterstics of yours that they will have. they will carry half of your DNA just like any of your other children. its not really like giving your child up for adoption, becuase the egg hasnt been fertalized
its the same idea of donating sperm, but its much more complicated, and your eggs are alot more expensive and you give alot less

It is very much like donating sperm. Both genetic material are passed into the child, it is random however. "You have your mother's eyes" etc. However one thing that is always passed from mother to children is mitochondria, during fertilization the mother's egg kills the sperm's mitochondria. Yes that was random but very interesting.
