Well Ambien puts you to sleep and there are at least a hundered scripts with the word "hydro" in them. So....what does your doctor say?

I would personally recommend that if you're going to take the ambien (although not a painkiller in itself), you should take a plain tylenol or ibuprofen with it as well. That way you're not "double tanking" on the narcotic like effects. The ambien will help you relax which in turn relaxes muscles, which the other NSAID meds can help with the pain aspect. As always, please check with your doctor first.

hydro-dp the cough med or hydrocodone? Either way they will make you drowsy it is not recommended that you take them with other medications that may make you sleepy. I would have to say that if you plan to wake up I would not take them together! Good luck!

ambien and hydro?? I'd guess that that was ambian and water... because hydro is slang for water...
But I'd suggest that you talk to your pharmacist... if your worried about it, but if he gave you both of these together, it should be ok to take

it's never good to mix two drugs. when you mix 2 different drugs your body will react differently then if you were to take them separately. It's like if you smoke weed then drink alcohol, you get drunk quicker.

My husband has been taking that combo for 3 years with no problems. but every one is different. call your doc tomorrow and ask i'm sure he would have said something at the time of prescribing them to you.
