A few months ago I was down at the grocery store at Rio Rancho finishing up. A couple of young guys hurried past me to get in line carrying some deli packages. When I got in line there were two people ahead of me between me and them.

An altercation developed between them and the clerk over the price [I surmised] and they got pretty loud fast. She looked over her shoulder and a what? manager, I suppose, came over, looked at the deli packages, said something to the clerk, then the young guys.

I couldn't understand a word they were saying, but they were loud and waving their hands around in funny weird pointee ways talking to each other and shouting at the cashier and guy with the tie.

Then they both stomped out.

The woman ahead of me turned around and said to me, "What did they say?"

I turned my hat around backward [the hat in the icon], waved my hands around sort of the way they had, and said, "Whihoomhah deeche Mnhfnha!"

Tie guy: "We don't allow racism here sir!"

I too think that they don't allow a sense of humor in that store but I want to thank you for this question... It's the best laugh I have had all day and after spending the day at a murdered Police Officer's funeral I truly needed a laugh.

I know you didn't mean it to be funny but you have to admit... That is one heck of a punch line.

Truth be told I'll bet they didn't hesitate to take your money when your turn in line came.

Your story demonstrates very well the idiocy of the "politically correct" crowd.

Racism isn't right, no matter which generation one is in. Then again you have the Reverends Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton getting on every white boys case whenever the mood suits them whether they are right or wrong.Jesse is a " great" role model having fathered how many illegitimates? Ane the Reverend Al with Tawana Brawley. He never did apologize for that but had enough clout to get Imus canned. Well, what can you expect from that nut regardless of his camps.

Now that is just down rite laughable !!! I saw a guy hit a car in a wall mart parking lot one day. When I told the security guard, he said so.... people are always doing that, it's not my problem. So the security guard that you think is guarding your car in the parking lot could care less what happens to your car in their parking lot. He inferred that the Mexicans and Indians were all drunk anyway and, it was fun watching them try to park. And, believe it or not that was just down the road from Rio Rancho in Belin... They were angry with me for being upset!!!! Go figure!

This country has lost its sense of humor. We have to be overly careful of what we say in an unrealistic goal to eliminate all possibility of offending even those who live to complain. Those who would have absolutely no life if they had nothing to complain about. The censors on this Yahoo board are a good example of this.

Did everyone miss the joke? Anyway, I always found it amusing that Curry was voted as the number one English dish...I believe Chinese food was also somewhere in the top 10.

I think we have gone way too far in trying to placate everyone. Some of these young people have never been told no or been denied anything so they think if they do not get their way it is because of racism

That's hilarious! I'm having a visual :)

I work with a woman who is 5' 9", slim, beautiful and has the craziest sense of humor. She can mimic any accent. We just crack up. Her Vietnamese is my favorite.
