I mean it's like it came and it went so fast. It really was startin to get hot for a minute and all of a sudden it's gone like gone. Can some of my latin bros and sisters explain what is goin on?

maybe people got tired of it. my cousin is really into it but to me, all the songs sound the same. its kinda like the same beats but with just minor variations.

My cousin is Nely El Alma Secreta's manager and he tells me that they have been working on Don Omars new record. But Don Omar is working on alot of salsa like material. Reggaeton didnt completely die. But just like it predecessor in playero music it was never here to last. The repetition in beats, the topics. I never considered it real music, its something you want to hear in a club and thats it. Its no longer as mainstream and thats it. If you go to the caribbean countries Reggaeton is played more then any kind of music. Hope that helps.

It's too flawed. Like the other poster said, same beats with minor variations. Calle 13 is a pretty original group, but the rest are copies of themselves.

its not gone. mainstream america just got sick of it. same with that latin heat trend in the early 2000's with ricky martin, thalia made her US release and when chrissy aguilera thought she was latina.
Its pretty hard to really catch on to a type of music in a different language. and they think it all sounds the same. cant blame them. i feel the same about most rock music.
p.s. DON OMAR IS THE BOMB DOT COM.
