Could be an inside job by Musharraf but the terrorists don`t want a democratic government, let alone one led by a woman who dares to go out in public, it goes against all their archaic beliefs. Furthermore, they don`t want peace or their leaders being on friendly terms with the west, it suits them much better to have instability and to be able to carry on their war against anything civilised.

First, it must be understood by all those who are alien to culture & political scenario of Pakistan that Democracy prevails in Pakistan although for past so many years she has been under Military Rulers.
Though terrorists are most likely to assassin her because she was pursuing US agenda & the Taliban Leaders are against US influence in Pakistan - similar to that in Afghanistan. They are also against President Musharraf as he is supporting US against Taliban & Al-Quaida.
Politically speaking, some other factors are also most likely, like getting rid of a lifetime chairperson who was least democratically running her political party. A similar fashion in which others are running different political parties in Pakistan.
Consider a political move by President Pervaiz Musharraf who allowed Nawaz Sharif to return to Pakistan & to contest for the same elections, hence, making Benazir politically weak.
Her dominant husband, Mr. Asif Zardari, is well know for his corruption who is also known as a good reason for her last two downfalls & ousting. Benazir being dead, Mr. Zardari will end up getting sympathies & more votes and indeed the leading position as the political culture goes in Pakistan.
All must know that her strong opposition, Nawaz Sharif, has announced that his political organization will boycott the upcoming elections on January 2008.
It is all political seesaw – our politics has been like that for ages now.
Why cannot British come back and administer Pakistan again? (What an idea!)

Bhutto stood for democracy. That means the extremist groups will see strong resistance from the govt if Bhutto would come into power. The Al Queda knows this and will do anything to go against it. The only one that supports Bhutto's death are the ones opposing a democratic Pakistan.
As for Musharef's involvement...it's been noted Al Queda has made few attempts at Musharef's life as well as Bhutto's. I can't say (and no one who wasn't involved) can say he was directly involved as of yet. But the one fact that remains is he did nothing to stop it. Bhutto has made many requests to have bullet proof windows, police protection (to name a few) which all has been denied by Musharef. As for what we know today, he did nothing to stop her assasination even though he knew (from his own admission).
This was all political...it has nothing to do with religion.

nicely I even have seen the final shifting photos released by employing the Pakistani government. It for sure shows a guy with a small pistol. For considered one of those guy, with an ammunition, to get so close to to Benazir Bhutto is actual unusual. i for my section have self assurance that the blame ought to be placed on the Pakistani government/ Intelligence agencies. One obvious reason that why the blame ought to be placed on them is the shortcoming of risk-free practices. they might desire to have ensured that the gang would desire to no longer get close to to Benazir Bhutto's motor vehicle after she develop into leaving the rally. Why the risk-free practices cordon collapsed after the tip of the rally? She develop right into a Former best Minister and clearly could are transforming into the subsequent one. The blame is on the government.

1: It is a warning to others not to mess with their power base
2: It weakens Mushariff which makes their cause (an Islamic run fascist state) stronger
3: A warning not to support women for power
4: Bhutto was seen as a US pawn by the Islamo-fascists so they feared her return to power
5: She was anti-Taliban
6. She, in all likelihood would have reigned in the Pakistani Intelligence Agency which would have endangered bin-Laden's safety there

To destabilise the country, and let in the more extreme element of their society. Unfortunately this will have ramifications for all countries as Pakistan has nuclear power now. I find it amazing that she went back knowing full well what would happen, it was just a matter of time.
