i've been researching on what happened on the WTC and i get raw thermite explosives. I'm trying to investigate on the 9/11 and try to get a better understanding rather then a terrorist attacking the world trade center, the pentagon, and the missing plane of shanksville. i have a conclusion of what maybe hit the pentagon. I'm thinking a missle hit it, shanksville i have no clue its possible that someone dig it up and get good exciting news from their job. i need ideas someone who can hit their head on the wall for this news. ~The Investigator~

It was a hijacked plane.

Here it is - the planeloads of fuel lit up the office contents in the skyscrapers. Each initial conflagration involved two or three floors at once. After a while, the steel holding up the floor above the wreckage lost its strength from the heat. The towers started to bend, then the weight of the floors above the fire collapsed the floors on fire, and the falling of the rest the thirty additional feet involved broke the floor below. The falling cascaded, getting heavier and hitting harder as it went, and both towers came down. The fiery mess crashed into the atrium below, pouring burning debris into the basement of number seven, also a large atrium. A pressurized diesel fuel line breached and began burning fiercely, weakening the trusses holding up number seven until they too got so hot they failed, bringing that building down on top of the burning pile from the two towers. Simple physics, well known structure fire behavior, no mystery, no extra explosives, no thermite required, no plot beyond that of the guys flying the planes. Any municipal fire chief can explain it.

The guy who hit the Pentagon had it easy, he just maneuvered without slowing down. Any idiot can do the same on his home computer with Microsoft Flight Simulator. The Pentagon is much more solidly constructed than the two towers were, so much less damage was done. All this took was surprise - the authorities had no idea what was happening until it was too late to shoot down the third plane. What happened to the fourth plane shows how the whole thing was a government screw-up. Afterward, we found out that we already had all the pieces, but nobody put them together because the former White House anti-terrorism group had been demoted. If the facts known on September tenth were all in front of Richard Clarke on the tenth, he could have warned the FAA to tell all pilots, "don't surrender the airplane." It was, on that day, policy to surrender the aircraft to any physical threat. The failure on the fourth plane shows that a couple of dozen determined Americans are a match for four or five fanatics any day. The first two planes had no idea, the third found out too late, but the fourth was stopped by its passengers.

If the FAA upgraded its system to the level of service provided by GM OnStar, the fanatics could not have gotten away with this. Authorities would have known in seconds that planes were being hijacked and flown off course. We would have had audio surveillance from the cockpits and known about the crew murders. We would have known exactly where each plane was every second, and that it was in enemy hands. We might even have had enough time for NorAD to muster planes to shoot them down with. In fact, FAA flight control is still operated on systems more than 30 years out of date, for which replacement parts must now be custom-made. A serious accident is inevitable sooner or later, even without terrorists or saboteurs.

There is no other story for which there is any corroborated evidence whatsoever. Any theory is potentially true, but only the one that fits all the known facts can actually be true. Forensics don't lie.

There are some excellent answers above showing that 9/11 was not an "inside" job. I'll add the following:

THERMITE: This theory was invented by Ex-Professor Steven Jones. He claimed he went to ground zero & found evidence of thermite &/or explosives. This immediately led to his University (Brigham Young U) starting an investigation of Jones for lying. Guess what? He lost his job there. This ends thermite theory. It was all made up by Jones.

PENTAGON: No way was it a missile because:

1) Dozens, if not hundreds, of people stuck on I-395 saw the low-flying plane & their testimony is well-documented in the press. Look up in Wikipedia, “American Airlines Flight 77” to see a list of eye-witnesses.

2) Clear wreckage of a plane was found & photographs were printed in all the papers. Here's a nice photo from 9/11 that clearly shows plane wreckage:

3)Yes, the hole in the Pentagon was somewhat smaller than the diameter of the plane. This is explained by Professor Mere Sozen, a “Kettelhut Distinguished Professor Civil Engineering” at Perdue University. Prof. Sozen says that it’s the energy of the plane, not its size that determines the size of the hole. The plane is not a cartoon character that punches out its outline. Moving at 531 MPH it more fluid than solid and this explains why you get the hole you got. See:

4) The “American Society of Civil Engineers” & the “Structural Engineering Institute” (both are non-governmental) investigated the Pentagon crash. Their report is called "The Pentagon Performance Report" & it’s at:

The report contains abundant references to plane debris & body parts found in the Pentagon. For example, see page 26.

5) Controllers in Boston spotted & actually tracked Flight 77 as it flew from the Midwest to and into the Pentagon. They ordered the F16s over New York to fly to Washington to intercept it but they were too late. Are all these controllers insane?

6) Hundreds of rescue workers found plane debris & body parts. Many accounts of this were published in the papers.

7) If it was a missile, then where did Flight 77 & all its passengers go ?....

SHANKSVILLE: Flight 93 was NOT "shot down" because:

If Flight 93 were shot down, then the little pieces wouldn’t have made that gigantic crater (115 feet wide)

Also, the passengers made 37 phone calls, 17 of which were “successful” (10 seconds or longer). They said they were hijacked. Why would we have to shoot down the plane if it was already hijacked?

Although there were no intact bodies, over 1500 body parts were found, and most of the passengers were identified through the use of DNA. Mr. Miller (the coroner) later reported his findings on this.

Please think of approximately this in case you will.... the top one 6th of the WTC tower broken by applying an airliner crash "collapses" down onto the relax (undamaged) area of the development and reasons entire DESTRUCTION. whats up with that? From a firefighter, you do no longer hit upon a table, a working laptop or pc, a telephone... the biggest single piece grow to be a factor of a keypad and not an particularly huge one at that. what's the biggest single little bit of something (different than for the steel beams) that grow to be discovered at floor 0? and WHY the finished DESTRUCTION? 3 homes decreased to pulverized bits and small products. How did it ensue? explosives?

vvpdhd has it right. I absolutely agree with him as to why the buildings fell and the other damage. As for the conspiracy theory about why building 7 fell, its because it caught on fire. Building 7 fell a couple of hours after 1 & 2 (I can't remember how many hours exactly) but it had been on fire for all the time and then eventually just collapsed. My question for conspiracy theorists would be "Where did those planes and people go?"

you want to know what happened? read the us military's official line and then believe the exact opposite. personally, my favorite part of this entire charade is the clearly visible missile (complete with witnesses) that hit the tower. i actually use a closeup of this shot as a screensaver. it's like a falling star in broad daylight. but if you want to know the fascinating details, you'll need to join a left-hand path magical group with secrets.

The above is an engineering study that conclusively disproves, through the scientific method, and through the use of physics and calculus how the towers fell.

As to the Pentagon, well, it was a plane. People will show you pictures that do not show plane wreckage, and claim that proves there was no plane. In reality, it only proves that there was no plane wreckage in the field of view of the camera at th time the photo was shown. There are lots of pictures of plane wreckage, and pictures of the damage to the exterior of the Pentagon from the plane wings. Add to that the numerous studies and analysis of the damage, the wreckage, and the flight of the plane during the last few seconds, and it becomes pretty obvious that it was not a missile. It shows where the light poles were knocked down (yellow dots) and the path a missile would have to take to cause them to fall (red line) versus the straight line path a 757 would have to take (light grey area) Missiles just don't fly that way.

As to the plane in Shanksville, PA. Again, it proves nothing that a picture does not show wreckage. All it proves is that the field of view for that camera did not have any wreckage in it when the picture was taken. Here are some pictures for you.
