Anytime I put in a disk to play it, a little CD pops up next to the cursor like it's loading, but nothing happens. I think double click on the D drive icon under my computer, and I get this message: D:/ is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

This is really frustrating and upsetting. Someone, please help! The trouble shooter told me it cannot solve my problem!

Two things...

You have a bad disc.

You have a bad drive.

Try to clean the disc if that doesnt work, try a different one.

If that doesnt work your drive is dead and needs to be changed out for a working one.

You can easily do this just go to walmart buy a disk drive and follow the install instructions.

Before trashing the drive and replacing it, go inside the box and verify that all connections are tight. If you have a CD cleaner disk (has little brushes on it), use that.

If everything is tight and cleaning doesn't help, then I would say it has gone the way of all things. Replacement time.
